What did you do to your 4x4 today?

Always enjoy working on my little trail rig/work vehicle. So today I did the zj steering upgrade to my cherokee installed a new steering stabilizer and put in some new door speakers because I had 1 blown speaker. Hope everyone else enjoys working on their stuff as much as I do. I love the website we have here.

Nothing on mine, just sat in my shop all weekend. Needs a new front CV shaft from my trip last weekend where I got a little too hard on the skinny pedal.
Probably change it out next weekend

Added a few dents and scratches. Saw the tail end of the air show from HV/LV. Almost accidentally drove down twister in an Xterra.

Good timing for this thread since I actually did something today. Installed a Jks track bar I got from a member today and realigned the steering wheel. Was rewarded for my efforts with the rear shock pin breaking (for the 3rd time) on my drive home.

Ha. I touched my Jeep for the first time in a few months today. It has been sitting next to my driveway in the front yard. Had spider webs all over over it. The battery has been dead for a while, jumping didn't work. Took the battery back to Napa and got a new one. Popped it in and she started right up. Gave it a nice wash too. Still need to do a few things to get it ready for winter- oil change, check all the fluids, replace oil pressure sensor.

Well, yesterday. I installed aftermarket front axle seals on myTJ. The stock ones are more of a dust seal, these provide a watertight seal.

    I'm in, Let's go!

Are the shocks bottoming out before your bump stops?

No I'm pretty sure it's because of how stiff the shocks are. I actually heard this one break when I was going 3 mph over a speed bump

Did a knock sensor, $200 (discounted) at toyota, on my sis's 88 toy pickup and after months of countless repairs she is finally running right! Also did new window regulators and cleaned up the door latches for smooth operation. Next is an oil change and power steering seal kit .

Passed 100k in the Kia on my last trip down to Bald Mountain, so I need to check the manual for a lot of the PM items I've neglected. Has new-ish fluids everywhere it counts though. Axles are still sitting in the garage waiting to be built, it'll be some good cold hands on learning for me this winter.

Yelled at it for being old and having noises I cannot figure out.

I've got replacement lower control arms I need to do this weekend but sage grouse opens up and that is more important.

Sold a jet propane heater my grandpappy made me take. It was for his 2000+ sq ft shop up in Portola, and it was way too warm and noisy for my two car garage... I'm sure I'll cuss that this winter when I'm busting knuckles and freezing. Shit sucked when I put my engine back together. Previous owner drywalled and shelved my entire garage too, one of these days I need to be not lazy and see if he insulated it before hand or not.

I am in the market for one of these types of things on the cheap:
