    Sunday 11-1-15 HLT run

After a night of spooking and Trick-or-Treating, what better way to recuperate than to go on a trail run?. Meet at the Scolari's parking lot on Caughlin Parkway off McCarran (top of the hill) at 10:00 am.
HLT ( or Hunter Lake Trail ) is usually a pretty stock friendly trail with some side challenges available. I say "usually" because erosion from the recent rains combined with trail use over the summer can change a trail and make some parts more difficult while making others easier. Generally, HLT has always been considered a stock friendly trail. Newbies of course are always welcome and we'll make sure everyone gets thru if there is any problem.

If you plan to make it, post up so I can know who and how many to expect. (last minute tack-ons are welcome too!)

Hey Bill I'll be probably be making this run. Sidewayssami, Treasure Hunter and I were up there last Sat. night but didn't go any further then the earthen dam (11 miles). The trail is pretty good but I did notice that there was a little more rock exposed in a few areas than in the past. We (I) was running at a faster pace than normal and I didn't air down like I should have, so it was fairly bumpy for me and just a little dusty . There's also a couple of spots where a minimum clearance 4wd type car/suv may have minor difficulty but not much of a concern. There's also water in the mudhole, haha I guess I forgot how I hate to wash the mud off, whoops! too fast.........trees are turning good, as is the whole area around Mayberry and McCarran. Should be a pleasant run

I'll be there. Weather is supposed to get a little poor on Sunday, but that'll just might make the run more fun.

Bump for tomorrow's run. Great way to recuperate after a night of costume party, Trick-or-Treat, or just plain having a good Hallowe'en. Bring your camera, the fall colors should be in full display. Stocker run, so all are welcome.

Looks like a good morning waking up...See you all at 10:00. You can double check the correct time by looking at your cell phone. (they correct all by themselves)
