I have always wanted to go to the rubicon but never have. If I could meet up or fallow someone it would be great. Does anyone do this? I'm going to have to trailer my rig that far. This would be GREAT to plan!

Just got back. There is a lot of new stuff to break your rig on. I ran mainly on the West Side of Buck island. Wentworth was a blast I ran it two days in a row . Broke a yoke and 2 u -joints and shaved at least a half inch off all my rims. There was lots of broken rigs between big sluice and Cadillac hill . P.S this is how i feel about AMC 20 in my rig.

I'm pretty sure I want to join you all - I was invited by renolaw from the pirate4x4 forum. I have a question - I've never done the Rubicon trail and given the comments above it seems as though you are all repeats. Is this the type of outing where I could follow the group (navigation) and have someone perhaps act as spotter over the more tricky spots? Or if you are all repeats, it's it more "everyone on their own"?

My Jeep is a JKUR, 2.5" lift, 35" tires, truss&gusset the front axle, 3rd party diff covers.

    Thoughts?

There will be a group going in from the Tahoma side the 21st. Most are repeat but none of the people in this group will leave you hanging. Just show up and go down with us. The Rubicon Trail is an AWESOME place. Hope to see you there.
