Hey guys, I help moderate over on the NevadaShooters forum. I'm trying to work this year on watching the legislature for new gun laws, and I'm keeping a running list as they turn from bill draft resolutions (BDRs) to actual bills. Linkey link here: http://www.nevadashooters.com/showthread.php?t=76426
I've also got information there on how to leave comments for or against the bills. I've been told the comments do get read by the committee members and, while they might be moot against a democrat controlled legislature this year, it's better than nothing. I also urge you to call your assemblypeople and senators in order to voice your opinions on these bills.
My favorite bill currently sitting in committee is AB171, which would remove firearms from the list of items a person shall not carry without permit. And since open carry currently not prohibited by law either, this bill would make Nevada a constitutional carry state (without specifically using that phrase in the bill itself).
Anyway, thanks for noticing.
