Things to do &/or see in Idaho

Trying to plan a spontaneous trip to the southwest part of Idaho spend a night there as i take the long way to Berlin Nevada. Will be traveling with 3 kids between 11 & 5 years old. Ive never visited this area before so im seeking recommendations for non-4x4 kid friendly destination ideas. Hiking traiks, caves, museum, state parks, killer restaurants etc....

    Any input would be appreciated.

Twin falls is a nice visit if you are in the area. Hopefully you can watch a few people base jumping off the bridge and Shoshone falls should be raging right now. There is lots of Hiking around Boise although I don't have specifics.

If the roads are open to Silver City in Southwest Idaho, it's a neat place, kinda like Virginia city. The terrain is great with water, trees, and scenery.
Sasquatch doesn't believe in you either.

I'll tell you who it was, it was that damned Sasquatch.

Craters of the Moon has a nice clean developed campground and lava tubes which are cool to hike in.....its not really on the west side of the state but worth the detour if you have time.
