We're usually done by 11am, or shortly thereafter.

Good match, lots of fun, and in the shade as a bonus.

A strong second place finish in the unmagnified class with a 1903-A3 (out of 2, so also last place), but the bolt action, 5 round capacity and stripper clips was not as much of a handicap as I feared. A bigger problem was the lack of a good zero, and who-knows-how-accurate 50 year old surplus ammo. Will have to try again with reloads.

An impressive showing for a 100+ year old battle rifle! I've got photos, which I'll post as soon as they're uploaded.

Thanks, but it isn't quite that old. The serial number puts in from March 1943, which matches the date stamp on the barrel. I want to try again with some handloads and a better zero.

Actually, I need to do the same for my AR15. It is only a couple months old, the first end to end build I have ever done. So far it is running well, no malfunctions at all, and it did alright shooting cheap Federal blasting ammo, but I need to work up some handloads and get a better zero with that as well.

We've got reinforced barricades all ready for the match this Sunday 10/15. You'll have plenty of time to sight in and collect data before the match starts, so bring extra ammo!
