    Any suggestions

Hi all!! I have been working on my jeep and just finished some much needed maintenance, and now I'm ready to start hitting trails.

I have yet to touch a inch of dirt since I moved to reno, and my fiance isn't really into wheeling. Are there any short local gentle fire roads or anything I can safely take her on in the area. Something pretty mild just to slowly break her in and I can do alone.

My rig is on 33's with no lockers, winch, and lots of extra armor. Pretty capable in general, but I don't want to risk breakage with this trip.

I'm hoping to find Carson, reno, VC, or somewhere east.

    Thank you all in advance!

What part of town are you in? Hunter Lake Trail is one of my favorites because you get in the pine trees and it has a great view of the city. You access it through Caughlin Ranch on the west side of town.

Peavine Peak service road from virginia street to the towers is a nice ride with numerous side trail opportunities.

I like running around the desert/hills through Hungry Valley, can access from Sun Valley, Spanish springs, Lemmon Valley, or even out Pyramid at moon rocks and make your way back to town on dirt. Lots of mild trails, and some rough canyons here and there perhaps for when your rig is more built and the Fiance is more comfortable with it

I'm in the damonte area. But that doesn't matter much to me. I don't mind some travel. That's part of the fun.

Thank you guys. I really appreciate the information. She has to work now this weekend, so I think I'm going to go over off toll road here and check that area out on Sunday.

Looks like there may be something out there. I am using all trails and it says there is a mild drive there. My old habits of not ever going alone are hard to break.

Toll is an easy short trail, I generally take it when going up to VC in my stock JKU. There are some trails off fawn lane that go above Galena high school that wont take all day and you get some great views of the surrounding area. I can run with you Sunday for a bit if you want.

You could always just go out anywhere to explore and turn around if it gets too uncomfortable.
Sasquatch doesn't believe in you either.

I'll tell you who it was, it was that damned Sasquatch.

I may do that after a couple of shakedown runs. Since I just replaced some hydrolic cooling lines, high pressure steering line, water pump, thermostat, and transmission line.

I want to make sure all is well before I hit some long trips solo.

Another easy one would be dog valley road between Verdi and cold springs. You can go from 395n to coldsprings side; spur road to Crystal mine then out to Verdi and stop off at Cabela's. And back to I80. It gets a little bumpy on the Verdi side but is travalable even by 2wheel drive.

I like jumbo grade or toll. Hunter lake is fun but it seems like winter took away half the road in places according to my boss. So it could be a bit more challenging.
