    Weekend run 8/12

Anyone doing something Saturday? Charlieman and I fixed up the buggy and are looking to shag it out. I thought about Hunter lake but dunno if i have enough power to pull that hill. Might have to run it backwards thru Garson.

Henness pass, dog vslkey, sardine valley to babbit peak. Or meadow lake, sierra trek base camp.

Let us know what you are thinking. I might be able to run HLT this weekend or something close like that.

Charlie an I took the Garson road up to HunterLake. DAMN that road is a rough, washed out creekbed! No carnage i have found yet (except my back!) Charlie might post up some photos, or videos. There is one "widowmaker" tree across the trail that had me spooked. It looks wedged pretty good in a neighbor tree but you never can tell with those things. I dunno if i would call the trail a stocker friendly much anymore. Deep ruts in a couple spots and lots more exposed rocks.

The HLT water crossing/washed out creek bed is where a spring is located up the hill to the west. 20 years ago there still existed the remains of a corduroy road through this place; you could drive on the logs. They've all rotted away now and the erosion has been getting greater, especially with the heavy winter runoffs. Thanks for posting the videos.

Rode dirt bikes up there last weekend and my body still hurts.
