Looks good. I am getting the materials to build an off-road trailer right now. It will be a winter project. Did you use 1/4 wall for the entire trailer?

Looks very beefy and pretty heavy. Fully loaded those springs and axle up for the job? Like the folding can rack. Anyreason not to add a receiver port on the front tongue or another out back?

So far the trailer has held up well. It's been towed up to Knott Creek Reservoir 3 times and has no trouble with that nasty road.

Thanks! 1250lbs as per the scales at Alamo.

Thanks! 3" x 2" and 2" x 2" .188 structural tubing throughout except for the angle which is 1/8"?? I think. Built this a few years back. Not very much angle used, mostly for the captured decking and can rack.

Fully loaded with SxS it is 2500 lbs - 2600 lbs depending on fuel level extra crap in the SxS. Originally built with 3500 lbs axle and springs. I upgraded the springs to 6000 lbs after the first summer as I was getting some rubbing at the tops of the fender. I knew this might be an issue when I built it but I liked the lines of the fender so I left it. I may in the future cut off the hangers and go with something mildly taller to eliminate the outstanding issue.

Not following the question about the receiver port front and back. In back do you mean to attach the SxS so I don't have to run tie downs?

Having a receiver port on the tongue, rather than a welded on hitch offers several benefits. Solid security plus versatility for dufferent draw bars. With a port, pull drawbar and insert locking pin. Very theft deterrent. A rear receiver is more for utility use. Cargo rack. Tow two trailers, lol or a rear recovery point.

Interesting, didn't even think about that. Maybe an upgrade project in the future. Not sure where I would put one in the rear though without sacrificing ground clearance. Guess I could move the plate, or make the plate removable and hide it behind.

Ill get some pix from home tonight with detail. A common build plan is to run the recever tube stick the entire length of trailer, making it easy for front and rear receiver ports. Like a long backbone.
