    Off Grid Living Forums

Can anyone suggest a good off grid living forum? I am interested in relevant technical discussions and/or reviews for off grid electrical systems, potable water systems, composting, gardening, nutrition, etc. I am not looking for NWO/SHTF scenarios or tin foil hat discussions. Any Suggestions for a good, reasonably active forum?

Off-grid internet forum? That's some kind of oxymoron.

Hahaha, that's a good point! I did find a Northern AZ solar system forum that is very good. How about a new special interest section Denis?

If it runs on fuel or runs on electricity, there is probably a thread on here about it.

Sorry man can't contribute other than after googling "off the grid living" I found some pretty interesting videos on YouTube. I actually wasted like an hour watching it. So thanks for that Mike. I never knew I was interested in off the grid living until today.

I'm interested in what sites you find cause all of that stuff can be applied to dry rv camping.

Is that where you leave the beer and booze at home? Sounds like a giant waste of time.

Permies is pretty decent, but it's owner is a complete shitbag and there are a bunch of hippie types/holier than thou attitudes in there. Some decent info from time to time though. Builditsolar is another good site for all kinds of off grid related things, mainly heat and power, but there are some others.

I configured a battery/solar system and got a lot of excellent input on the Northern Arizona Wind and Solar forum. If you go there you will see my thread in the Newby section. I have been digging deep into this and I am now pretty current on solar panels, charge conrtollers, inverters and battery chargers.

Nice! I have the 12V-120V power system built, I am now trying to figure out how to make clean lake water potable.

Are you above or below the lake, I have a spring so there is a container buried with a bottom outlet 2 water main to the house reduced under the house to 1 through a 3 way filter. Not good for multiple fixture uses planning when I have a chance l am going to put a low volt booster on the system.
