Cool. I thought twister was in the new Indian land. Glad to hear it is still open.

So are you allowed to run it? I have wanted to take Alison through it but didn't think it was ok...

Under the new boundaries of the reservation, this is a no go.

I will say the only enforcement vehicles I've ever seen are a Charger and a Ram 1500......neither well equipped enough to patrol anything other than Eagle Canyon

Not according to the maps that were posted when this was going into effect. The entrance to the canyon was, but not the trail.

It's hard to see what is what, I've never seen a decent map with the new tribal land clearly outlined. The canyon may start on tribal land, but it definitely goes to BLM land as it runs to the south/southwest. I don't think anyone really cares to limit access to that little chunk of land, but if they do it is also possible to access the trail without ever entering tribal land from the south. One just has to drive the ridgeline and drop in, or run the trail in reverse and turn around.

I live off Delores and have yet to have issues doing everything I've always done. I respect the land and don't trash the place. But if and when someone comes to get me I doubt I'll be caught. I'm using existing trails and not dumping or shooting and I'd bet not many can keep up as I use the area. I feel like most will be left alone if you treat the land rightfully so.

And yea not much of the trails entrance is on tribal land...

See map I posted in above link. It is where two green squares meet. Starts at eagle canyon and goes south west over that hill.

Dolores is a street off of Pyramid highway out in Spanish Springs 3/4miles or so before Eagle Canyon Dr to the left as you go north. The trail is at the end of the road and a bit NW...

This is not Twister though, Twister is right off Eagle Canyon not Pyramid. Delores is a completely different trail.
