    XJ PARTS

    I just got myself a 98 XJ and will be starting my build slowly. Figure it's worth seeing if there are parts here locally to scrounge for and save money on. Here are my goals and desired parts:

    Building a super 30 front, if anyone has HP30 parts I would be interested. Spare shafts, chromo shafts, etc. Maybe a lunch box locker for now

    Rear will be getting a D44. If anyone has one I am interested. Also parts for it, shafts, carrier, disc brakes, etc. I found I can buy a bolt in axle at ECGS for $1300 shipped. So that's the current plan unless someone has one here.

    Suspension parts. It's currently on a small lift by ProComp and I am looking to fit 33's at the largest. No huge lift, it's gonna stay low locked and plated. So any springs may be of interest to me that are 3-5" of lift. Long arm kit as well.

    Bumpers. I am open to see what bumpers may be out there. If i can't find anything I plan to get the JCR kit for front and rear.

    Sliders are likely going to be custom built, but again if I can buy something locally here I will entertain what's available.

    Doors to make half doors out of. I also need to fix the driver's door because the latch sometimes falls back down and I can't close the door without taking my finger to push it back up. Black preferred but not 100% necessary.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I've got a HP Dana 30 and Dana 44 I pulled from my '98 Cherokee before I sold it. They have been sitting outside.

    Both have 5.88 gears. Front has Aussie Locker (sandwich), rear has Detroit Electrac. It was working off and on when I pulled the axles.

    I have a set of Rubicon Express 3.5” front spring with maybe 1000 miles on them bumped the lift to 4.5”... also a set of Bilsteins for the same 3.5” same amount of miles on them.
    Springs $100 for pair. Shocks $200 all four.

    Hey guys, so I found a deal on a D44 for the rear, now I am just looking for long arm/leaf spring lift stuff, 1 ton steering, sliders/bumpers, HP D30 stuff for spares maybe even a whole axle for the right price to build with the 44 to just swap in. I am looking to build the axles with 4:10 gears so ring and pinion sets as well. Thanks much!

    For 33" tires, I recommend lower gears than 4:10 (I have this setup and wish I'd gone lower), esp if you plan to add bumpers, sliders, winch etc.

    You can find limited slips fairly cheap for the D44 if that suits your needs.

    I've got a complete 92 XJ that I'm getting ready to part out. The only things that I want off this Jeep is motor and tranny, battery, and steering wheel. The rest is up for grabs.

    35" Mud T/A's on wheels (about half tread give or take), D44 w/ locker (unknown gears or locker), HP d30 w/ locker (unknown gears or locker) T-case w/sye, Lift kit (unknown brand), Sliders (home made), bumbers (home made). All body parts are pretty much junk, interior is dirty, has all tinted windows and a clean title.

    Edit: was told that it has a Durango steering box if that's also an upgrade.

    Okay....so I have an update to the build needs:

    I am looking for spare D30 shafts if anyone has any laying around. Also possibly looking for a spare HP30 housing without the disconnect assembly; I may have ruined my inner C on mine wheeling this last weekend but I will know for sure when I install the new ball joints. I haven't checked any of the pick and pulls to see if there are any in the lots, so if you have a lead on a D30 housing and spares please lemme know.

    I am going to regear the axles still and am going with either 4.10 or 4.56 gears, so if anyone has gears for the HP30 or D44 I'd be interested in those.

    Once I rebuild and gear the D44 the 8.25 coming out will need to be sold, so if anyone is interested in that we can chat. It is stock except for a little rock rash on the tubes :-D I will also have a stock NP231 coming out of the rig to sell soon when I install my 4:1 t-case.
