Those appear to be the 2017 dates but in my research to find 2018 dates I ran across this: "During the months of May and November customers may leave an additional 6 bags, boxes or bundles outside the container on their service day without using an excess waste sticker."

Also, if you live in Reno and have a good standing account with WM, you get 4 free trips to the dump a year. I always bring my bill as proof, but they have never looked at it.

Do you go to the transfer station downtown for this, or Lockwood? And is this Reno/Sparks or just Reno? You just tell them you live in Reno and they let you dump for free? Please explain.

I have some dumping to do this year.

    thanks.

I can't speak for them all but the station in Stead requires a bill.

Lockwood or the transfer station downtown. This is directly from the WM website:

Waste Management is pleased to continue to provide garbage and recycling collection to the residents of Washoe County. Under the new collection contract, effective February 1, 2017, there are many new and exciting services. Among them:

    - Single-Stream Recycling Cart
    - 25 Excess Waste Stickers
    - Four trips to the transfer stations in Reno or the Lockwood Landfill at no additional cost*
    - Fall and spring excess waste curbside pickup

Learn more about these and other developments in Residential Services.

Think Green is not just a motto at Waste Management -- it’s our way of doing business.

Washoe County Garbage and Recycling Collection Rates, effective May 1, 2017
    * Four total trips per year. One standard pick-up truck per trip. Customers must be current with their bill and present a driver license that matches the service address on the account or their current bill for service.
