pit of doom at bronco entrance needs work!

If you are planning on doing some rock crawling in bronco canyon, the entrance to the pit of doom needs some assistance. Looks as though someone got delayed there and dug some deep ruts in the mud with a nice sidehill to bait you in. There is a 3ft ledge past the ruts however the pit itself is almost dry. Small Willy and I decided not to dig bigger ruts so we didnt go through.

    yea, the mud still stinks...

What sort of work do you think needs to be done in order to make it passable to the bulk of the vehicles that play in Bronco Canyon?

It needs an old stock p.o.s. burried in the mud to drive over. I would say some can pass now. The tahoe donner group on 35's didn't make it and there were a bunch of crawlers there on Sunday sitting on the lockwoodside that also didn't go through. Head on up. Level that ditch out. My pictures were not the best representation of the current condition.

That underground creek keeps the mud deep and goopy. Big rocks to fill the holes could be toted up to it. Lord knows there are plenty on the trail in that could be picked up!

The old mud pit really is not an issue any more, pretty east to get around it. The issue has moved s few hundred yards up the trail. There is a new squeeze rockwith a steep off camber on one side and deep mud on the other side followed by a nasty mud pit with a steep dirt step.
