    Duramax shop

Normally I turn all of the wrenches on my truck, but I am recovering from shoulder surgery and cannot handle it right now. I am looking for a shop that knows Duramax's. There is nothing wrong with the truck, but I want to get the cooling system taken care of to include getting the water pump replaced (which is a sumbitch on Dmax's). Who do you recommend?

    Thank you,

    Jack

Kolt works at Dynamic Diesel, they seem to be a busy shop. I've had good experience with them.

Thank you. They are at the top of my list right now from looking at reviews. Probably going to reach out to the various shops next week, but wanted to see if anyone had one that stood out.

I was talking with one of the owners of DD the other day, he said they're turning down several jobs a day.. not enough mechanics. I think you'll want to get an appointment setup in advance.

Kolt left there a couple months ago. I donít have any firsthand experience with any local diesel shops but I heard good things about McDiesel.

Iíve gone down to Sacramento to Ken Imler and would make the drive again to have him work on my truck.

Interesting, luckily I have time. Nothing is broken, leaking, wrong, I just am planning on an extended trip and want to make sure I can do everything I possibly can for PM.

McDiesel's ratings are also pretty good. I think I will stop by and talk to them to see what they have to say. I have everything for the job, as I was going to tackle it; but I just can't do it physically right now.

I really don't want to have to go to Sac, but Imler is very well known as well.

    Thanks everyone for their suggestions.

I'm not sure if he does any diesel stuff but Mike the owner of Schreier Specialties has done some work for us on our gas vehicles and I've found him to be fair and honest. No complaints or bad jobs. https://schreierspecialties.com/
