    King coilover top cap seal

Looking for somewhere I can take one of my king 2.0 coilovers to get the top cap seal replaced. Has a small leak and I have it all apart but canít get the top cap off. Ive read itís loctited and a real mother to remove

Anywhere in town usually stock 2.0 seals? Hoping to get it done this week.

I think Nates Precision has some 2.0 rebuild kits. You can also try Summit Racing as they carry some King stuff in stock.

Cool thanks. Have you ever taken a top cap off? Any special tricks to try?

No, I have rebuilt before but never had to remove the top cap.

since you're replacing the seal (o-ring right?), put the top hat in the vise, heat it up and use something like strap oil filter wrench to spin the body off.

Like Dennis say it should be just o-ring and if threaded heat it up and unscrew.
If you need help bring it over, I am sure we can get it off. I have not done King but I work on shocks almost daily, mostly Penske and Ohlins.

Thanks for the input! I was able to get it off with some heat.
