    Diesel Exaust Fluid

So where do you guy buy your DEF, and where has the best price.

Someone suggested Maverick has it at the big rig pumps. They do, but it appears to be dispensed through the high flow nozzle. The filler on my DEF tank is 3/4"+/-, so that doesen't work.

Go to any heavy truck dealer and get it. If you want to get it from the pump at the truck stop the nozzle will fit your truck they are small but you will most likely need to buy the magnetic adapter for the pump nozzle. like this one https://www.ebay.com/i/261906022045?chn=ps

also make sure if you buy jugs that it isn't sitting out in the sun cause it can make it go bad.

Thanks guys. I didn't see a separate DEF nozzle at Maverick? I'll have to take a second look. I'll watch for boxes that arn't stored properly. Looks like Napa here I come.

So it looks like the boxes are $6.40 a gallon (16.00 for 2.5 gallons) and the truck stops are $2.75 a gallon. I think I'll fill up at the Maverick or a truck stop.

$9.99/2.5 Gal box at Napa.... $4/gal.
Truck stop would be cheaper, but my duramax really didn't use that much of it and i'd take the convenience of just filling in my driveway as needed vs saving maybe $15/yr.

Wonder why the price is so different at the Napa in Carson? Costco in Carson is putting in Diesel pumps. More than likely they will have DEF at the pumps also. That will be nice.

I'm lucky, we have it at the pumps at work. I think we buy bulk for like 1.75 a gallon. If I bought it at a store I'd probably only buy the stuff that has the plastic jug in a cardboard box if it were me.
