    Need a new Tie Rod

I recently bent my tie rod bad and am looking to upgrade it to 1.5 x.375 and was hoping someone in town could make one for my needs or direct in the right direction. Thanks for any suggestions and help.

what thread size on rod ends? you might want to consider solid aluminium and tap the ends.

Going thicker than .250wall will net you very minimal strength gains, you’d be much better off to go with solid aluminum like Denis said, or stepping up to 1.75 or even 2”.

That size does not work for threaded bungs, were you thinking of having the tube tapped for the ends? Do you want straight or offset TRE's? I have parts for offset TRE's and woudl just have to pick up some 1.5x.25" tube. I could build it tomorrow if interested. Just need dimensions.

I'm a big fan of the tie rods from Rustys.

I use the heavy tube with stock ends and carry spares so I have a break point that doesn't take out something like steering box or knuckle.

Yes the tube would have to be tapped for the TRE’s. It needs to be 39 inches long. I have TRE’s just was looking to go stronger than 1.5”x.25 without increasing tube diameter. I will probably just end up going with solid aluminum and mounting my hydro assist with a tube clamp.
