    Refugee n00b

Fleeing California with the truck, the wife, the kids, and the guns (dog didn't make it. )

Looking to get the lay of the land, explore my new home (in a few weeks) state, and treat CA like it was just a bad dream!

Welcome. Sucks about the hound. Nevada is better (I'm a several year CA ex-pat) but I'm not sure how long it will stay that way. The disease that is CA is infecting Nevada, not sure we can recover.

Many have moved here from cali., we are from there also. We moved here to assimilate, not change Nevada. I hope you feel the same way. Welcome Here !

Thanks all! I see the trend to "Californicate" Nevada. Myself and the wife are 2 votes *against* that kind of crap. Assimilation is the name of the game for us. First thing I want to do is get rid of the CA plates on our cars. Of course the government makes that a process in itself, but no matter, since it has to get done. Once I update my CCW address with WCSO, I'm going to try convincing the wife to get her permit as well. Sucks I'll have to give up my CA CCW, since I'll still hunt and fish on both sides of the border (lifetime licenses, so may as well put them to use).
