I shoot with two main groups. Western Nevada Pistol League and Stillwater Fireams
They are both full of great people. If you have any questions I am happy to try and answer.

WNPL matches held at the Washoe Range

First Sunday of every month is the regular IPSC match. Dates are posted on WNPL

We also run what we are now calling action pistol. This is basically the same as the normal shoots but with less confusion. These shoots are great for skill upkeep and are aimed at getting new shooters familar with USPSA competition. In the past they have not run all year around, they usually start in april and run 5-6 months or longer. They are always going to be the saturday following the normal match.
The first one for the year is April 11th. Then 5-09-09, 6-13-09, 7-13-09 and so on.

Stillwater Firearms Association puts on several good shoots but they usually involve a little driving. Their shoots are a little different than USPSA/IPSC shooting.
They run man on man(or woman) elimination matches. They are either done with steel or bowling pins and are a blast to shoot. You havent felt pressure until you realize the guy next to you wants to put you out
They also run a rimfire steel match which is the same format and quite possibly the funnest match of them all.

I belong to Stillwater Firearms Assoc and their matches are fun most are either in Fallon or Fernley. We have a private range in Fallon that's just the cats meow.

I think we ought to arrange a fun match of some kind for ourselves..you know Reno 4X4 Shootin' and Chili Cookoff.... No alcohol of course.

Trap, haven't shot it in years! Have a Benelli I got last year, but I need to get the other barrel 26/28? for it along with the tube extension. Think they will mind an auto-loader?

We don't mind auto's Hell, there's a couple people that have tried shooting Skeet with Tarus (sp?) Judge's

I use an 11-87 Premier Trap gun. That's just about as auto as you can get Plus I shoot a Mossberg 500 410 for trap too...now if you want to shoot someting fun and kind of tough that's the one. I like 410 trap and skeet.

That Benelli would be just fine.

I organized a Fernley residents only trap league at the Fallon Trap Club couple of years ago but the powers that be didn't like the fact that they couldn't control it soooooo it went away.... but it was really fun! That's why I say we should have a Reno 4X4 trap league.

My uncle has a T/C Contender with a .410 barrel that we shoot (or should I say "attempt") skeet with. It's a lot of fun .

Well I can understand fooling around with clays with a hand gun but I don't know about out on the skeet field. I can imagine some guys would object to it. I don't know about Sage Hills but Fallon only allows shotguns on their ranges. Big sign SHOTGUNS ONLY.

Are they rain or shine?

What should I bring (eyes, ears, etc.)?

Bring eyes and ears if you have them

No cost to watch of course

We start around 9 or so but if you are just coming to watch then 10 or 11 will be fine

We usually go till 2 or 3 and sometimes later
