    Fork travel?

    Hello

how can you tell how much travel your fork has. Looking online I've found that mine came in two types 80mm and 100mm. In the picture the space in between the red lines is a little over 80mm. That seems to be the max travel or does the travel go all the way to the green line?

    thanks

Put a ziptie around the stanchion, fully compress the fork then measure. Different forks bottom out in different positions. If the lower went all the way to the green line, your tire would probably rub.

The ziptie is a good way to tune your fork. After a good ride if its only moved up about 50mm, then its too stiff. Ride off a curb and its at the top, then its too soft. In a good hard ride you should expect to bottom out your suspension a few times.
