I'm not a fan of basketball so I don't mind. It sucks for the guys who enjoy it though.

Does anyone see hockey picking up interest when the networks have no basketball to show? Sports fans need to watch something...

I'd rather watch hockey or baseball. Too much of "look at me" personalities and egos in NBA and NFL.

This lockout will give Luke Babbit and Armon Johnson another year to develop. It'll also keep the top college players from leaving for the draft in their Sophomore and Junior years.

    I'm good with that.

I've got a couple of family members who are in to basketball. I agree these guys have talent and skill, but really how much should you pay a grown man to chase around a ball?

I wouldnt miss them at all.

I hope hockey does get more attention!! all sports I think will go through a lockout, it is only a matter of time. Professional athletes are so out of touch, they say they play the game because they love it, yet when pay is decreased or stays the same for that matter they do not want to play

    No.

College ball is where it's at. Unfortunately without the NBA, college ball would not be as good as it is...Also college ball would be better if the NBA would quit stealing players from college ball.

It is only fun to watch the playoffs, and only if interesting teams make it. Until then, I won't miss it a bit.

I wonder what this will do to the D-League. Will we be seeing top players at the Bighorn Games?

Every sport has (minus football, they're smart) and every sport has suffered to get the following it had prior to the sport. Hockey locked out for a season and everyone played in Canada and Europe. Baseball did and it's the first to admit they didn't get the same following it had before. Basketball 1%'rs need to come down a couple levels and realize without a college degree, being tall and athletic won't get you $1M a year outside the NBA. They want more money...I say the owners agree on a $1M salary cap for 5 years and bring them back down to reality.

That's debatable. IMO they have their fair share of greedy a$$hats setting out training camp every year. The union stomps its feet until they don't have to practice in pads or get guaranteed days off during the bye week. The results of that? More injured players and less quality of play for the fans.

All athletes are pretty much drama queens anymore..I don't like basketball so it don't matter to me. Lost all interest in Baseball when they did their strike so many years ago. I also figured players salaries were directly related to the ease of booking games in Vegas...

No, don't take it personally. I offend everyone, it's my gift.

football reached an agreement before the season started. rookies are playing and getting paid. basketball rookies have no degree and no job. overseas ball limits Americans on a team. Football learned from hockey and baseball. Read its costing Kobe $25M to sit out AND a possible championship.

bunch of overpaid brutes IMO. Alabama is hurting for labor, so maybe this will help out the growers. If the players are feeling the 'pinch' welcome to reality.
