CBR 600 won't go into third

Posting to try and help my roommate out. His bike won't go into 3rd gear, it just drops right back down to second when you let the clutch out. But all the other gears work fine. Anyone know what's going on? If so how hard is it to fix?

Probably bent shift fork. Or drum issue. Has it been down on the left side before? What year? RR? F4i?

Could also be worn dogs on the gears.

I know the dogs on the gears you have to have the transmission apart to inspect them. I'm guessing the shift drum would be the same thing

I would say shift fork. I bent the 2nd gear fork on a bike, just skipped it, 1 3 4.... If it jumps around, in and out, could be a chipped gear. my bike the trans would lock up and stall because two gears were engaged at once
