So ive thrown out the idea for now of buying new plastics (as that would be around an $800 bill) so i would like to hear some ideas of how you would paint/plasti dip, bed liner, or wraps that you have tried, seen done, or have looked into about attempting it yourself, id appreciate an feed back, if it helps, im just looking for a flat/matte gray color

I feel like plasti dip might not hold up in that application and a bedliner might be too heavy. Did you try all the aftermarket companies for plastics? I know if you paint them there's usually a specific primer you will want to use.

Last dip won't hold, I had my SxS done and it is almost all gone.
Professional paint job will cost money and not worth, may as well buy new plastics.
I would spray it with can, cheap and easy to touch up
Krylon has paint that sticks to plastic really well (think its called Fusion). Seems like it takes about a week to fully cure. I girl'd up a power wheels truck for my daughter a few years back and it seems to hold up pretty well.
Obviously, gloss>satin>flat when it comes to durability.
